Dr Laila Rahman is a postdoctoral associate at the Western Centre on Climate Change, Sustainable Livelihoods and Health (WeCLISH), London, Ontario. She is also the host of WeCLISH Climate Café and editor of the Climate Blog. Her research focuses on gender and intersectional equality in climate change, food security, gender-based violence, and maternal health. Before joining WeCLISH, Laila completed doctoral research in public health at the University of Toronto and postdoctoral research on quantitative intersectionality methods at Western’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Additionally, she has experience in grant writing and conducting exploratory, quasi-experimental and cluster-randomized controlled trials in Bangladesh. At WeCLISH, with methodological expertise in quantitative, qualitative, and participatory approaches, Laila is keen to conduct collaborative research and knowledge exchange to contribute to climate change scholarship and action.
